So far great kitchen

I bought a frigidaire kitchen from home depot, but I wasn't happy because I didn't want to spend more than 900$ for a kitchen, the I found a deal on this kitchen. And because of my electrical kitchen was working after 20 years and from the seller advice, I decided to return the frigidaire and bought these one, so far it's a great kitchen, learning again how to cook because gas it's different from electric.

Strong Gas Smell and Handle Broke within Months

The range looks great and the grates are heavy duty. The gas smell is very strong in the first few minutes of use for both the stovetop and the over. The handle broke off within 3 months of use, but the warranty is covering the replacement part.

The broiler is worthless!

I bought this three months ago. I am an avid broiler in the winter time. This does not broil! It bakes at 500° If I were to broil bacon for 40 minutes in my previous oven The bacon would've been on fire. In this oven, it bakes the meat ( it does not sear the meat)-after 40 minutes The bacon was just starting to get crisp. This is an absolutely worthless broiler and whirlpool needs to fix this problem!! Very disappointed in whirlpool

The oven didn't work

When this range was installed the cook top worked but the oven didn't. The gas would be heard flowing and I can smell gas and then the ignition but the stove would not work. I looked online for how to fix it and called Lowe's where I bought it the have been of little help. Whirlpool will come out and look at it in one week to see if it can be fixed until then I have to use the microwave.

We have a Basset Hound that searches for food on top of the stove when we are away. The dog would inadvertently turn on the gas knobs and the house would fill with gas; with the knobs on this range being on top , that issue has been resolved. We also like the fact that the display turns on when a gas valve is turned on.

I've been using this stove for around a month after having an electric stove for the past 20 years, burners are very easy to use and control (heats up way quicker than my old stove) easy to wipe down and keep clean, the little black tops over the burners fall off with the slightest touch (when wiping stove top) I'm finding the oven ok, isn't as hot as my old electric one, very easy to use controls though. All in all I'm very satisfied with this stove

disappointed with quality

Owned this range 15 months and have had 4 knobs break at the cost of $36 each, the oven would not turn off one time until I use a lot of force to get it to turn off. Small simmer burner will now not turn off, can push it or turn it. Large burners are too hot even on low and the enamel is chipped. I take very good care of my appliances and this one just is failing at a number of area, won't by a Whirlpool range again.

Good but not great

I've had my stove for approximately 2 months now. It's good but not great. My 2 major complaints are that the knobs are not as stout as I thought they would be and there's no center burners. I ordered my stove of the web and didn't get to see it before ordering. It's been great as far as use but as far as design. Like I said, the knobs seem very flimsy, there are no center burners, and the small burners in the rear of the range top aren't big enough for anything other than a teapot or a small pan.

My first gas range!

The gas range came with our builder's appliance package (we didn't pick it out) but we like it as it works flawlessly and is so much more efficient than electric. Easy to clean except for the control button area which acts like a shallow bucket and therefore a trap for crumbs and grease. The racks and bottom drawer seem a little flimsy (thin metal) but that doesn't seem to affect performance. Would definitely recommend it your budget doesn't allow for top of the line.

I bought this stove one month ago and have been very happy with both the stove and oven so far. It is aesthetically pleasing and has improved the overall look of my kitchen. The stove heats up within 10 minutes to almost any temperature and there is ample space in the oven.

Great-performing gas range

This is a great-performing and good-looking gas range. It was easy to install and immediately fired up with no trouble at all. Everything works perfectly. In particular, the oven bakes evenly and I love the well-designed grill over the burners as it provides a stable surface for my pots, whether I'm using one of my big dutch ovens or a smaller pot to heat up a cup of soup.

Range draws your eyes, very sharp looking

We saw this in the store and were drawn by its looks! Had all the features we were looking for! Wish it had convection oven, but oh well! Warming tray is kind of flimsy but other wise is well built!

Absolutely TERRIBLE !!!!!

I got this piece of junk with my new house and it is worthless!!...It cannot even hold heat in the oven to cook a prime rib roast... I wouldn't want my worst enemy to have this have this!!! Cannot believe Whirlpool calls this an oven!! Then it almost burns turnovers in less than the suggested cooking time... The good reviews for this piece of junk were given something .... come on..also when you google this MODEL NUMBER WEG515sofso all you get is where to purchase parts...What's up with that...????
