Great Value: Inexpensive frige with an ice maker

It looks great inside and out. We were a bit concerned about downsizing. It is smaller than our previous refrigerators but the size seems to be adequate. It certainly fits into the opening much better than the larger refrigerators.
It is much easier to roll it out for cleaning. The larger size refrigerators we previously owned were wall to wall in the refrigerator cabinet space and were difficult to roll out.
There is a dip in floor near the back of the opening which in the past has made it difficult to level previous refrigerators. This frig was easier to level in spite of that dip in the floor.
This new Whirlpool refrigerator replaced a 15 year old Kenmore which experienced a sudden compressor problem. I also own a 22 year old Kenmore in the garage that is still working. I believe that 22 year old Kenmore was built by Whirlpool. I just installed a Whirlpool ice maker in it last week. I'm not sure if 15 year old Kenmore was manufactured by Whirlpool.
My new Whirlpool is a great value in terms of first cost. It should be less expensive to operate than the larger units. I have not owned it long enough to evaluate the reliability.

We bought our first Whirlpool fridge of this model when we moved into our house about four years ago. We had problems with product loss and inconsistent cooling temperatures beginning about nine months into owning the unit. After almost three years (and several hundred extra dollars to keep the extended warranty active while we had five different "approved" service companies traipse through our house and behave rudely), a competent service technician finally diagnosed the issue as being a rupture in the cooling system lines, and Whirlpool agreed that the unit was defective and replaced it through their loyalty program. Nine months into having the replacement unit and we are experiencing EXACTLY the same issue. I have a suspicion that Whirlpool will not do anything meaningful in terms of actual customer service, because it was pulling teeth to get them to replace the first defective unit.

It's been 3 months now and I am still having problems. The fridge part is freezing food and the freezer part is not freezing the food. I can not keep this thing regulated regardless of the setting I put it on. I am mostly using the setting just below the recommended one.

It took a while to get the right setting for the freezer and the refrigerator and the humidity in the drawers, but in about a month, through trial and error we got it right. It helped that we bought also two thermometers to monitor the temperatures
So, for the temperature part, we are happy. It refrigerates fine and fast.
We are also happy that the shelves are transparent so we can see through.
There is plenty of room.
I don't like that I have to keep the 750ml bottles (soda, wine) horizontally - there is room for only two bottles to be placed in upright position. Plenty of room for regular cans, bottles of beer, jars.

This unit is to replace the first one we bought. This one has no dents and runs very quietly. It cools very good and seems to be working perfectly. Just what we were expecting from Whirlpool. Good quality and reasonable price.

Have had refrigerator for two weeks. It is noticeably more noisy than the old one. It seems to vibrate when it is running. Also arrived with dents and bends in cabinet. I would say the quality has certainly suffered since I bought my old Whirlpool refrigerator. Somewhat disappointed as I have all Whirlpool appliances. Should have been in the dent and scratch section but was ordered new.

Had to buy a new refrigerator because my old one that I had for more than 20 years was falling apart. Had to buy a smaller cubic feet refrigerator so it would fit into the space so I lost a few features that I enjoyed on the old refrigerator, but the new one has features that I love like glass shelves, an ice maker, plenty of space in the freezer and refrigerator space as well.
